About Us
The Scoop on the Pet Lady, Cherie K. Miller and her clan

Cherie is a mother of three sons and stepmom of four sons. That makes seven sons, but they’re ALL mine (I hate that distinction between birth and other children.) My husband was a widower in Atlanta raising his four boys when I met him. I was living in Chicago raising my three boys and we blended our families on June 1, 2001. We all live on Lake Allatoona in the northwest suburbs of Atlanta.

In addition to writing for Pet Peeves, Cherie works at Kennesaw State University in the Masters of American Studies program.

She is also the Past President of the Georgia Writers Association (www.georgiawriters.org), a nonprofit committed to authors, education and literary events throughout the state of Georgia.

Cherie has an MAPW (Masters in Professional Writing) from Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, Georgia.

Her husband, J. Steve Miller (www.jstevemiller.com), is also an author who writes character education material and life skills books for young people.

Cherie is also a “mom blogger” for the Center for Sustainable Journalism’s Juvenile Justice Information Exchange (www.jjie.org) writing about youth issues.
